Valê Ghiorzi is a sound composer, writer, and actor, with a degree in Performing Arts from UNICAMP and a Master’s degree in Theatre from Université Paris 8 Vincennes-Saint-Denis. He began his training in piano and classical singing at the Municipal Conservatory of Music of São Paulo and worked as an opera singer at Theatro São Pedro between 2012 and 2014. As an actor, he has worked in Brazilian theatre, film, and television, notably appearing in the series Desalma (Globoplay). Since 2023, he has composed music for theatre, circus, and audiovisual works, including the short film Núbia, directed by Barbara Bello, which was selected for the first stage of the Grande Otelo Award. In Paris, he worked as a sound composer and sound operator for theatre and circus productions, while developing his research on encounters between contemporary queer theatre and Greek chants rooted in the Ovidian tradition. His musical work engages with minimalism, sound theatre, and concret music, seeking beauty in spoken and lyrical voices disrupted by artificialities and fractured temporalities.

Espetáculo “ELEFANTE” - Teatro Arthur Azevedo 03/07/26
With dramaturgy and direction by Beatriz Nauali, the work invites the audience to dive into the complex dynamics of a fractured family. The narrative unfolds during Célia’s 70th birthday, a white woman with Alzheimer’s who lives in a state of complete neglect. The routine of solitude is broken by the visit of her grandson, who engages in a frustrating struggle against his own relatives, who prefer to ignore the matriarch. It is in this context of neglect that the young man encounters Qayin, a neighbor who sympathizes with the elderly woman’s vulnerability and helps her with the household groceries.
Amidst this tense environment, the performance brings to light a mysterious presence that hangs in the air: Xhosa, a Black woman who worked in the household. Through her memories and erasures, a web involving structural racism, dynamics of labor analogous to slavery, and social invisibility is presented to the audience in a striking way, questioning the true role of women who have historically carried the burden of labor in thousands of Brazilian households.
